Search results are kept only if you save them.
Prospect search in MagpieCRM keeps nothing from a search until you save someone. The API is planned the same way: results come back to you, and what you store is up to you.
On Magpie Cloud, contacts a customer saves from prospect search with a verified work email can join a shared database, so the same person isn't bought and checked again. Each person is emailed a notice before anyone else is shown them, and can remove themselves in one click. How the shared database works

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Does the prospect search API return email addresses?
No. It returns people, not emails. Use the email finder API for the people you want, and it returns a work email confirmed with their company's mail server.
Do you store the searches or the people in them?
Search results aren't kept unless you save them, as in MagpieCRM's prospect search. On Magpie Cloud, contacts saved with a verified work email can join a shared database (on by default, off in Settings, Prospect search, Shared database). Each person in it is emailed a notice before anyone else is shown them, kept for 12 months from their email's last verification, stored encrypted, and can remove themselves in one click.
